Job Description

About the Role:

Our client, a reputable and tech-embracing company based in the South West, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to drive the development of customer-facing applications and internal platforms.

You will work across the full development lifecycle, from architecture and design through to deployment, while mentoring junior developers and influencing tech direction. This is a hands-on, senior-level role for someone who enjoys working across both front-end and back-end technologies in a modern, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality web applications.
  • Work across the full stack with a focus on performance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Collaborate with product owners, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and code reviews, ensuring best practices.
  • Mentor and support junior developers to encourage growth and technical excellence.
  • Champion agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.

Tech Stack and Skills:

  • Front-End: JavaScript/TypeScript, React or Angular, HTML5, CSS3, REST APIs.
  • Back-End: Node.js or .NET Core, Python (desirable), microservices architecture.
  • Database: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or equivalent.
  • DevOps/CI-CD: Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Azure DevOps or similar pipelines.
  • Cloud: Experience with Azure or AWS highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of system design, performance tuning, and security best practices.

  • Proven experience in full stack development, ideally in a senior or lead role.
  • A strong grasp of software engineering principles and best practices.
  • Able to manage competing priorities and deliver robust, user-centric solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Passionate about mentoring and improving team capabilities.
