Senior SharePoint Architect - Contract - Remote from anywhere in the EU

About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior SharePoint Architect to lead the design and implementation of modern, cloud-based SharePoint Online solutions. This role is pivotal in building a secure, intelligent, and ISO-compliant Intranet platform, while also driving the adoption of AI capabilities and ensuring long-term governance and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement SharePoint Online solutions, including enterprise Intranet portals.
  • Lead the integration of AI-powered features as SharePoint Copilot, Copiloft Studio agents and more.
  • Define and implement SharePoint governance frameworks, including life cycle management, permissions, taxonomy, and compliance.
  • Ensure SharePoint solutions are aligned with ISO standards (eg, ISO/IEC 27001, 9001) and support audit readiness.
  • Design mobile-responsive SharePoint experiences with a strong focus on security and usability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Provide strategic direction for SharePoint roadmap, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the adoption of SharePoint and AI features across the organization through training, documentation, and change management strategies.
  • Work within Agile teams, contributing to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery.
  • Mentor development teams and support other architects to ensure adherence to best practices and architectural standards.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in SharePoint Online architecture and development.
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Power Platform, Azure AD, and Microsoft Purview.
  • Strong experience with SPFx, PowerShell, and AI integrations in Microsoft 365.
  • Proven track record in implementing governance models and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting user adoption and change management initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of mobile security and responsive design principles.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
