Senior School Nurse

A highly respected specialist school in London is seeking an experienced Band 6 School Nurse to join their multidisciplinary team. This is a full-time, year-round role supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).

This is an excellent opportunity for a registered nurse who is confident managing complex care and is looking to transition into a rewarding educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to students with complex health needs

• Perform procedures including tracheostomy care, enteral feeding, and ventilatory support

• Deliver clinical training and supervision to school staff

• Act as lead nurse in the absence of the Lead School Nurse

• Collaborate with families and external healthcare providers to ensure consistent care planning

• Maintain accurate records in line with NMC standards

Requirements:

• NMC Registered Nurse (Children's or Learning Disabilities preferred)

• Experience with complex clinical care in paediatric or SEND settings

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
