SAP Senior Functional Consultant - Finance (Hybrid)

Global Enterprise Partners is currently looking for an experienced SAP Senior Functional Consultant (Finance) for a an assignment until December 2026, supporting one of our key clients in the energy sector in the Netherlands.

This role is part of a mature SAP Finance DevOps environment, where continuous improvement, system stability, and close business collaboration are essential. You will play a key role in enhancing and maintaining SAP Finance processes that support the company's operational growth and energy transition initiatives.

This is a hands-on senior functional role, not a pure project or implementation assignment. You will work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, and fellow consultants in an Agile/Scrum setup.

Role Overview

As a Senior Functional SAP Finance Consultant, you will operate within a cross-functional DevOps team, responsible for both delivery and operational stability of SAP Finance solutions. The environment covers end-to-end financial and sales processes and integrates with multiple internal and external systems.

You will contribute to sprint-based delivery, incident resolution, process optimization, and stakeholder alignment across finance and sales domains (FI, CO, FICA, SD).

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, optimize, and maintain SAP Finance processes (GL, payments, reporting, closing)
• Support and enhance sales-to-cash processes, including invoicing and billing flows
• Analyze and resolve functional and process-related issues across SAP FI, CO, FICA, and SD
• Design and improve integrations between SAP Finance and internal/external systems
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (demo, retrospective, sprint planning)
• Coordinate and schedule business meetings, including user approvals
• Assess and prioritize incidents and change requests
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into SAP-standard solutions
• Share knowledge proactively and contribute to team quality and improvement initiatives

Key Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an SAP Functional Consultant in Finance
• Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP FI/CO, including payments, assets, and year-end closing
• Experience with FICA and SD integration
• Minimum 5 years of SAP consulting experience
• Proven experience working in Scrum/Agile environments
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written)
• Proactive, flexible mindset with a strong focus on quality and collaboration

Assignment Details

• Duration: Until end of December 2026
• Workload: 40 hours per week
• Location: Rotterdam
• Working model: Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite
