Purpose of the position

As Senior ROV Operations Engineer you will report to the ROV Operations Manager. You will support all Saipem ROV & Subsea operations across all projects by appropriately assigning technical workload within the department to the suitable resources. When needed you will work without supervision and coordinate varied resources.

How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:
  • Keep focus on the technical expectations from all Projects and prioritize these
  • Identify the available resources based on the activity workload (Tooling Design Engineer/Structural Design Engineer/Methods Engineer/ Drawing Office/3D Animator)
  • Participate in the completion of deliverables from the ROV Operations department technical workload
  • Mentor and willingly share knowledge with the more junior engineers
  • Become familiar with and maintain awareness of Saipem's current requirements and where applicable, the latest Industry Codes and Standards including statutory rules and regulations
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with Saipem's policy on QHSE matters in accordance with internal specific procedures
  • Ensure your own safety and that of others is not compromised or placed at risk
What are we looking for?
  • Experience: 10 years in technical ROV activities, or ROV offshore activities at supervisor, lead or superintendent level
  • Education: Engineering Degree, HNC/ HND or equivalent
  • Technical skills: offshore subsea construction and remote intervention, ROV tooling systems, Industry Standards (ISO 13628-8)
  • Certificates: OPITO and OLF would be a plus
  • IT skills: MS365 and AutoCAD proficient
