Senior Road Import Specialist Location: London, Heathrow Salary: Up to £45k

We're working with a well established and highly respected freight forwarding business to recruit an experienced Senior Road Import Specialist for their busy Heathrow operation.

The Role

You'll play a key role in managing end to end road import operations, ensuring smooth and compliant movement of goods across borders. This is a hands on, senior level position where your expertise will be valued from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle road import shipments from start to finish
• Complete customs clearances including both inventory linked and non inventory linked entries
• Liaise with customers, hauliers, and customs authorities to ensure timely delivery
• Troubleshoot and resolve any clearance or documentation issues
• Ensure full compliance with UK customs regulations and procedures
• Support and guide junior team members where required

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in road imports within a freight forwarding environment
• Strong knowledge of customs procedures (inventory & non inventory linked)
• Confident handling high volume, time sensitive shipments
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Air import experience would be a strong advantage
