Job Description
Senior Regulatory Manager - Code Management, Regulatory Reporting & Industry Governance 
We are seeking an experienced senior leader to head our engagement with industry code governance, regulatory reporting, and industry wide change programmes. The role is based in the UK with flexible arrangements and requires travel to external and internal meetings, including visits to Centrica offices in Windsor, Reading, and London Paddington from December 2026.
Key Accountabilities- Lead Centrica's strategic engagement with industry codes, agreements, and governance frameworks, ensuring timely and effective responses to evolving obligations.
- Assess the impact of code modifications, regulatory programmes, and market reforms, translating complex requirements into clear business impacts and actionable recommendations.
- Drive Centrica's response to significant industry governance change programmes, including Industry Code Reform and other strategic initiatives.
- Develop and represent Centrica's positions with regulators, code bodies, industry participants, central service providers, and consumer groups.
- Own and oversee Centrica's regulatory reporting framework, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant submissions to Ofgem, government and other stakeholders.
- Embed robust reporting governance, controls, data quality assurance, escalation processes, and audit readiness across the organisation.
- Lead, coach and develop a high performing team of Regulatory Managers and Analysts, setting strategic direction and ensuring delivery across code management, regulatory reporting and industry change activities.
We need a recognised industry expert with significant experience in energy regulation, industry governance and code management. The ideal candidate will have:
- Senior level experience within the energy sector, particularly in regulatory, industry governance or related functions.
- Extensive knowledge of industry governance arrangements, code modification processes, regulatory impact assessments and Ofgem decision making.
- A proven track record of interpreting complex regulatory obligations and translating them into clear, practical and commercially sound business solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, challenge and build credibility both internally and externally.
- Experience leading through complex industry change and navigating fast moving strategic and operational priorities.
- Excellent leadership capability with experience developing and motivating high performing teams.
- Excellent analytical, communication, presentation and problem solving skills.
- Substantial experience in regulatory reporting governance, including frameworks and controls.
- Data quality assurance and audit trails.
- Escalation and governance processes.
- Regulator engagement and response to regulatory information requests.
- Audit readiness and compliance assurance.
- Senior stakeholder reporting and governance.
- Continuous improvement of reporting processes and controls.
- Project management experience.
- Regulatory or energy sector qualifications.
- A degree or equivalent professional qualification in Economics, Law or a related field.
