The RoleTo partner with the Senior Manager Data and Finance in designing and maintaining robust, clear, and simplified reconciliation processes for Funds at Lloyd's (FAL) custody. This role ensures operational integrity, drives process transformation, and provides leadership, guidance and mentoring to junior analysts, embedding best practice across the team.
Principal Accountabilities- Reconciliation Process Design & Enhancement
- Review current reconciliation frameworks and simplify, standardise, and strengthen controls.
- Develop clear documentation and workflows that reduce complexity and improve transparency.
- Implement automation and exception management tools where possible.
- Operational Delivery
- Lead daily and monthly reconciliations for FAL custody accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Investigate and resolve breaks promptly; accelerate systemic issues with actionable recommendations.
- Governance & Compliance
- Ensure that reconciliations meet internal control standards and regulatory requirements (FCA/PRA, CASS concepts).
- Maintain auditable evidence and support internal/external audits.
- Mentoring & Team Development
- Act as a subject matter expert for reconciliation best practice.
- Coach and guide junior analysts, building capability and confidence within the team.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with the Head of Member Relations to align reconciliation improvements with strategic objectives.
- Communicate clearly with suppliers and internal teams on reconciliation outcomes and issues.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to simplify complex processes and design robust controls.
