Looking for your next freelance contract? This is an opportunity to join a new and interesting infrastructure project in North / West Scotland, with the potential for around four years of work ahead.
For a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to move away from the uncertainty of short-term contracts, this offers the chance to get involved in a substantial infrastructure scheme, take on a fresh commercial challenge and build long-term continuity into your next move.
With complex civil engineering works to deliver and an established project team in place, there's plenty of opportunity to make your mark on a project that will keep you engaged well beyond the usual contract cycle.
Why consider this opportunity?- Long-term work: Around four years of project work available, offering the potential to stay involved from the current construction phase through further project delivery.
- £500-£550 per day: A competitive day rate for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor.
- Interesting infrastructure works: Involvement across earthworks, drainage, concrete works, blasting and associated civil engineering packages.
- Accommodation and meals provided: Quality accommodation approximately 15-20 minutes from site, with three nights' accommodation per week and meals included.
- A practical working arrangement: Four days on site each week, with accommodation provided to make working away more manageable.
You'll be an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in infrastructure or civil engineering and the commercial capability to manage complex work packages.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Strong knowledge of NEC3 contracts.
- Experience across infrastructure and heavy civil engineering works.
- Commercial experience covering earthworks, drainage, concrete or similar packages.
- The ability to manage costs, subcontractors, change and commercial risk throughout project delivery.
Around 15 years' industry experience would be advantageous, and candidates based locally to the project are particularly welcome.
