Senior Quantity Surveyor - Freelance Contract

Contract: Freelance / Contract

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major construction and infrastructure project based in Hampshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in the successful delivery of a significant project. You will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of the works, working closely with project teams, subcontractors and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial aspects of allocated packages and works.


• Preparing and managing project cost reports and forecasts.


• Managing subcontractor procurement, packages and accounts.


• Assessing variations and change management.


• Supporting project budgets and cost control.


• Preparing valuations and managing payments.


• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.


• Producing accurate commercial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.


• Supporting contractual administration and ensuring compliance with project procedures.


• Working closely with project and operational teams to support successful project delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on construction, infrastructure or industrial projects.


• Strong commercial and contractual management experience.


• Experience managing subcontractors and commercial packages.


• Strong understanding of cost control, forecasting and reporting.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


• Ability to work independently and take ownership of commercial responsibilities.


• Valid CSCS Card is required.
