Job Description
Senior Quantity Surveyor €65,000 - €80,000 per annum About Your New Employer

- As the Senior Quantity Surveyor,youwill directly report to the Quantity Surveying Director and supervise the financial aspects of construction projects to maximize profitability and efficient cost management.
- Youwill prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation for commercial projects, and conduct thorough quantity take-offs and cost planning.
- Youwill coordinate the procurement process-selecting subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring procurement policy compliance.
- Youwill manage construction contracts, assess variations, and ensure contractual compliance, while monitoring project costs and implementing effective cost controls.
- Youwill collaborate with design and construction teams on value engineering opportunities, guide junior quantity surveyors, and resolve commercial issues with clients and suppliers.
- Degree qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Surveying.
- Ideally 5+ years of commercial experience working for a main contractor with building & fitout knowledge and experience with various types of contract forms.
- Strong commercial awareness and client liaison skills.
- Extensive understanding of the civil engineering infrastructure industry and cost management.
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost control.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt, multitask, prioritize, and work independently or as part of a team.
- Eligible to work in Ireland and a Full EU Driving License.
