Job Description

Role Responsibilities
  1. Lead and develop the efficient and effective management and issue of accurate, timely, and contract-compliant documentation.
  2. Work closely with project management and engineering teams and liaise with Employers' commercial team and client team.
  3. Progress your own professional development continuously.
  4. Be competent in the application of IT skills to commercial management and the production of project documentation.
  5. Demonstrate and maintain commercial and technical knowledge, working closely with technical staff to develop appropriate techniques and solutions for the project.
  6. Assist with the preparation of periodic progress valuations and claims for work completed.
  7. Produce monthly cost reports, forecasts, and contract budget reports.
  8. Ensure contractual and commercial risks and opportunities for realizing efficiencies are identified to the Project and Commercial Managers.
  9. Maintain risk registers and contingencies accurately.
  10. Implement the SCS Commercial Policy and procedures effectively and consistently.
  11. Identify and provide appropriate, timely information to support the change control process.
  12. Support procurement through tenders, including producing subcontract documentation.
  13. Manage subcontracts from initial placement to final account.
  14. Prepare, review, and complete subcontract documentation.
  15. Prepare and agree on interim payment applications.
  16. Prepare and agree on final accounts with subcontractors.
  17. Maintain registers of variations, delays, extension times, and claims.
  18. Understand and ensure compliance with the Client and Joint Venture Partners' Environment and Sustainability Policies, processes, and statutory requirements relevant to your discipline and project.
The Ideal Candidate
  1. Relevant Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or relevant industry experience.
  2. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  3. Experience with Power BI.
  4. Experience in Rail or Infrastructure projects.
  5. A problem-solving, can-do approach.

The Skanska Costain STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract, including twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks, and site construction.
