Senior QA Test Lead

Tech Stack:

• Languages & Frameworks: Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, NestJS

• Automation & Testing: Playwright, Cypress, Puppeteer, Supertest, API testing, Test automation frameworks

• Data & Databases: SQL, data validation, analytics pipelines, Google Analytics

• Cloud & DevOps: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (Cloud Build)

• Other / Nice to Have: Generative AI tools for testing, API-first architectures, Microservices Key

Responsibilities:

• Define and own the end-to-end test strategy and quality outcomes across releases, environments, and partners

• Lead the shift to API-first testing, designing and scaling automated service-layer checks (contract, integration, component)

• Improve regression automation and coverage, tracking progress with clear quality metrics and making trade-offs visible

• Build a data-centric quality approach: validate pipelines, ensure reporting correctness, and implement automated checks for measurement integrity

• Coach and guide engineers in writing and maintaining tests, embedding quality into delivery via patterns, code review standards, and definition of done

• Evolve the automation ecosystem (frameworks, tooling, CI/CD integration) for fast, maintainable, and observable automation

• Partner with engineering and product leadership to proactively manage scope, risks, and quality decisions

Required Skills:

• Proven experience as a Test Lead or Quality Engineering Lead in modern delivery environments, accountable for quality across multiple teams and releases

• Hands-on expertise in test automation, including planning, implementation, and sustaining tests at scale

• Deep experience with API testing and service-layer automation, ideally in API-first or platform environments

• Strong capability in regression coverage models and quality gates, using metrics to guide investment and reduce defect leakage

• Experience in data quality testing, including pipeline validation, reporting accuracy, and E2E data checks

• Comfortable working in CI/CD pipelines and collaborating with engineering teams to integrate automation into delivery workflows

• Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript

• Solid SQL skills and familiarity with large-scale analytics pipelines

Nice to Have:

• Experience contributing to or testing open-source components or shared standards with external partners

• Experience in automation maturity improvements (assessment, roadmap, capability building)

• Exposure to Generative AI tools for test design, synthetic data, or automation acceleration

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Cloud Build triggers
