Job Description

Senior QA Test Engineer - Contract Role

Stelfox is hiring a Senior QA Test Engineer on behalf of our client based in Dublin.

Location: Dublin (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)
Contract: 6-Month Rolling Contract

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead test planning, preparation, test case creation, and execution activities.
  • Perform End-to-End ETL Testing, Data Migration Testing, Data Conversion Testing, and Data Quality Verification.
  • Collaborate with Developers, Test Leads, Production Support, and Change Management teams.
  • Drive QA release cycles from planning through execution and defect management.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test scripts, and Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs).
  • Execute testing across Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
  • Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation and analysis.
  • Utilize test management tools such as Octane.
  • Contribute to automation testing initiatives using tools such as Playwright or Tosca.
  • Leverage Generative AI tools to enhance test case generation, execution, and automation frameworks.
Required Experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on Quality Assurance and Software Testing experience.
  • Strong experience with SQL query writing and database testing.
  • Proven expertise in ETL, Data Migration, Data Conversion, and Data Quality Testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Quality Control (QC) processes and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of test design techniques and testing best practices.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Familiarity with Unix commands.
  • Experience managing end-to-end testing cycles and defect reporting.
Desirable Experience
  • Automation testing and framework development experience using Playwright or Tosca.
  • Exposure to AI-powered testing tools and technologies such as GitHub Copilot.
