Senior QA / Test Engineer - Regulatory Finance

I'm looking for an experienced QA / Test Engineer to join a global technology team supporting Finance and Regulatory Reporting solutions within a large banking environment.

This is a hands-on testing role with a strong focus on SQL, ETL/data testing and end-to-end QA, working closely with development, production support and change teams across Ireland and internationally.

What you'll be doing

• Test planning, preparation, test case creation and execution
• End-to-end testing of Finance and Regulatory Reporting solutions
• ETL, data migration, data conversion and data quality testing
• Writing complex SQL queries to validate data and identify issues
• Managing the QA lifecycle from requirements through to release and defect resolution
• Preparing test plans, test scripts and requirements traceability matrices
• Working closely with Developers, Test Leads, Production Support and Change teams
• Supporting testing across Agile delivery environments
• Contributing to automation frameworks and increasing automated test coverage
• Using Generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot to support test case creation, execution and automation

What you need

• 5+ years' hands-on QA / testing experience
• Very strong SQL skills
• Strong ETL and data testing experience
• Experience with data migration, data conversion and data quality validation
• Strong understanding of end-to-end testing and test design techniques
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Experience with test management tools such as Octane or similar
• Familiarity with Unix commands
• Automation testing experience - ideally Playwright or Tosca
• Exposure to Generative AI tooling within QA/testing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working across global teams and multiple stakeholders

Banking / financial services experience would be a big plus, particularly experience around Finance or Regulatory Reporting.
