Your Mission
We are seeking a seasoned analyst to join Call of Duty's Game Security department. This opportunity focuses on identifying suspicious telemetry and developing countermeasures to protect our Call of Duty games from malicious actors. The role also serves as a cross-functional escalation point for other teams at Activision.
Work ArrangementThis role is expected to be a hybrid work position, with the home studio located in Sherman Oaks, CA.
What You Bring to the TableThe Game Security team's priorities can shift rapidly based on the threat landscape. The following responsibilities form the baseline for this role:
- Master the latest tools used for telemetry analysis and enforcement
- Identify telemetry threat indicators and develop corresponding countermeasures
- Create quantifiable metrics to gauge the success of new detections
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance departmental tools
- Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks through improved internal tooling
- Research suspicious incidents and provide timely investigative evidence to stakeholders
- Build relationships with PR, Community Management, Player Support, and Legal teams; foster effective communication with these departments
- Maintain an understanding of the current security landscape for Call of Duty
- At least 2 years of game security analysis experience
- Proven track record of identifying and mitigating threats to game security
- Experience leading interdepartmental initiatives
- Solid understanding of game security best practices
- Effective communicator capable of simplifying technical topics for non-technical audiences
- Technical degree
- Experience securing first-person shooter games
- Familiarity with regional data protection laws and regulations
- Knowledge of Call of Duty titles and gameplay mechanics
