Are you an experienced leader in contract management with strong NEC expertise? In this role you will manage complex contracts, guide stakeholders, and support delivery of nationally significant D&B infrastructure projects in Ireland including metro, aviation, rail, water and highway schemes comprising tunnelling and other heavy civil works. Join our Project & Programme Management team and help us deliver excellent outcomes.
Your new roleAs NEC Project Manager you will be responsible for contract and commercial management across major infrastructure programmes. You will set contract strategies, monitor contractor and consultant performance, manage claims and disputes, manage technical assurance and ensure consistent application of delivery standards. You will work as part of large, multi disciplinary teams and provide clear direction to a range of stakeholders at all levels.
Key responsibilities- Lead NEC contract management and administration across major, complex infrastructure programmes
- Develop and implement contract management strategies and performance frameworks
- Monitor contractor/consultant performance and maintain KPIs
- Lead claims and dispute management and support dispute avoidance activities
- Manage contract interfaces across design, construction and operations teams
- Provide contractual and commercial advice and produce performance reports
- Lead and mentor a small team (typically 2-5 people)
- Operate within a large, complex and multi disciplinary organisational structure including managing interfaces with a range of stakeholders
We're looking for an assured leader with extensive contract and commercial experience, strong NEC knowledge and practical experience in managing contractor performance, claims and complex contract interfaces on major D&B infrastructure schemes. Typical background and skills include:
- Extensive contract and project experience with significant NEC exposure on large design & build infrastructure schemes.
- Strong commercial and claims management capability, negotiation and analytical skills.
- Experience leading small teams and working with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with contract management systems (e.g. CEMAR) desirable.
- NEC3/4 ECC PM accreditation and a degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction, Project Management) preferred but equivalent experience will be considered.
- Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) or working towards this; and/or Associate Member / Member (or equivalent) of a recognised professional body (e.g. APM, IPM).
