The role
As a Senior Project Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be part of our growing Digital Solutions team within Babcock Naval Nuclear, supporting critical defence programmes and delivering innovative digital solutions.
Day-to-day, you'll:
- Ensure alignment of IT projects with business strategies and digital transformation goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Technical Architects, and Developers.
- Oversee project delivery, resourcing, and support within agreed budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
- Establish governance structures and communication plans in collaboration with the Architecture Lead.
- Provide regular progress reports, performance dashboards, and maintain risk mitigation plans.
This role is full time, provides hybrid working arrangements with 2+ days in the office and the remainder working from home.
Essential experience of the Senior Project Manager
- Proven experience delivering complex enterprise-level IT/digital projects in regulated industries.
- Strong leadership and line management skills.
- Experience working with government/MOD clients and programme partners.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and IT systems lifecycle.
- Effective stakeholder management across internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
Qualifications for the Senior Project Manager
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Recognised PM qualification such as PRINCE2 or APM.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS security clearance for this role.
