About the Role

Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater.

Are you a strong, passionate Project Manager ready to embark on the next stage of your career? Are you experienced in contract management with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills? Are you the type of person who likes a fast-paced environment where every day presents new challenges and opportunities to excel?

The Opportunity

At Hinkley Point C (HPC), we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes. As the first of the UK's next generation of Nuclear power stations, HPC is both high profile and high complexity. Its delivery relies on innovative engineering, construction, and strong leadership qualities among its Senior Project Managers.

You will ensure the delivery of the mechanical installation activities for both Turbine and Conventional Islands, ensuring planning and delivery meet all safety, quality, time, and cost parameters to fulfill the Project's needs. Reporting directly to the Delivery Manager, you will lead all activities related to a major HPC contract, responsible for the installation of the world's largest Steam Turbines and supporting electro-mechanical infrastructure.

Pay, benefits, and culture

Alongside a starting salary from £90,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include a range of benefits, from the big and formal to the small and personal.

We offer everything from enhanced parental leave to electric vehicle leasing, health insurance to product discounts, critical illness insurance to technology vouchers, gym membership to season ticket loans.

At EDF UK, we embrace flexibility and recognize individual working needs, whether in office, on-site, or remote. We foster an environment of collaboration, connection, and comfort, prioritizing safety, value, and inclusivity.

We are committed to diversity and inclusion, aiming for gender balance and representation across minority groups, LGBTQ+, those with disabilities, and social mobility support. We are a disability confident employer and will assist with your application and reasonable adjustments.

We pride ourselves on fostering a dynamic, inclusive environment where diverse backgrounds drive innovation. Success has many definitions, and we support you in pursuing a career that's meaningful to you.

What you'll be doing

As the Senior Project Manager, you'll drive the delivery of activities aligned with safety, quality, time, and cost objectives. Your responsibilities include managing specific contracts, detailed schedules, and leading diverse project teams. You will establish work plans, manage budgets, develop risk logs, and coordinate interfaces between work scopes, ensuring quality and change control.

Who you are

You are a Senior Project Manager with a proven track record in delivering projects within complex, highly regulated environments, preferably in Nuclear Energy or similar sectors. You hold a Degree in engineering, construction, or equivalent, and a professional qualification like APM PPQ or similar. You have detailed knowledge of turbine systems, project delivery strategies, and experience with NEC and FIDIC contracts. Strong leadership, communication, organizational skills, and experience managing contractors and consultants are essential.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!

Closing date for applications: 3rd June 2025
