This is a *Belgium* based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Consulting company working on *Document Archiving & Cleanup Coordination activities linked to the SAP RISE Program.*
Overview
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager who will lead the Document Archiving & Cleanup Coordination activities linked to the SAP RISE Program.
As part of this strategic SAP Cloud migration initiative, the consultant will coordinate document archiving, PDF cleanup, and data life cycle management activities.
This role plays a key part in transitioning from Legacy archiving systems to modern cloud-based platforms, including ECS (Elastic Cloud Storage), while ensuring compliance, data integrity, and efficient life cycle management using SAP ILM.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all activities related to document archiving, PDF cleanup, and structured document life cycle processes.
- Act as the central point of contact between IT teams, business stakeholders, and external integration partners.
- Support the decommissioning of Legacy archiving solutions and contribute to the implementation of a new ECS-based cloud archiving platform.
- Plan, organize, and monitor historical data cleanup and archiving activities within SAP environments.
- Leverage SAP ILM functionalities to manage data retention, residence, deletion, and legal compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (Group-level, France, Belgium) to ensure alignment and operational readiness.
- Prepare and maintain project plans, track progress, manage risks, and provide regular reporting.
- Ensure proper documentation, procedures, and technical handover throughout the project life cycle.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data management, document archiving, or IT coordination roles.
- Solid understanding of SAP environments, particularly within cloud migration and system decommissioning contexts.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and geographies.
- Autonomous, well-structured, and capable of managing cross-functional initiatives.
- Comfortable engaging with technical teams, including IT architects and integration specialists.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ECS (Elastic Cloud Storage) or similar cloud archiving solutions.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ILM and data life cycle management processes.
- Exposure to SAP ECC, S/4HANA, or large-scale cloud migration programs.
- Experience working within large, international organizations.
