Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Project Co-ordinator to support the delivery of projects across the Wales Growth & Experiences Strategic Portfolio, including Powis Castle, Chirk Castle, Bodnant Gardens, Conwy, Erddig, Dyffryn Gardens and Tredegar House.

Are you highly organised, proactive and an excellent communicator? Are you passionate about built heritage and want to support projects that help care for some of Wales' most treasured historic places? If so, then this could be the perfect role for you.

Salary: £28,992 per annum

Contract Duration: Permanent

Working Pattern: You will work 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. You will not be required to work any weekends, evenings or Bank Holidays.

What it's like to work here

You'll be part of a close-knit Specialist Delivery Team delivering projects across Wales, as well as working closely with the teams at each property.

Your contractual place of work will be one of our Wales consultancy hub offices, with a choice of locations including Penrhyn, Erddig, Dinas, Dinefwr and Tredegar House. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office, site visits and home working. We'll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. The role will also require travel to properties across Wales for meetings and site visits as required.

We're proud of the role the Welsh language plays in the places and communities we care for across Wales. Whether you're a fluent Welsh speaker, a learner, or completely new to the language, we'll support you to develop the skills and confidence needed for your role and to engage with Welsh language and culture as part of working at the National Trust.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll work closely with technical building surveyors, key internal specialists, property teams, external consultants and contractors, supporting projects from design through to handover. This will involve responding to queries, co-ordinating activities and collating project information to ensure smooth delivery.

You'll support project set-up across each property, maintaining key project trackers, financial records and workbooks, and assisting the Project Manager in ensuring projects are delivered in line with the project management framework. You'll also support the update and use of the Sustainable Development Tool and the Everyone Welcome Tool, as well as co-ordinating the collection of all project handover information for each property in partnership with specialist external consultants.

Other responsibilities include co-ordinating and arranging meetings, site visits and property access for colleagues, consultants and contractors, as well as providing regular updates to property teams, General Managers and other key stakeholders.

During project delivery, you'll support the property team with interpretation, co-ordinate project board meetings, take minutes, and update project workbooks to accurately reflect decisions, actions and outcomes.
