Senior Project Buyer (Maritime & Heavy Engineering)

Are you an experienced Buyer who can manage complex, technical projects down to the last detail? We are looking for a Senior Project Buyer for a leading organization within the maritime and heavy engineering sector. You will get the opportunity to work on innovative projects, from ships to offshore units and other technically advanced constructions.

What You Will Do

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for complex, multidisciplinary projects and manage associated schedules.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers of materials, equipment, and services.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and prices to ensure optimal quality, cost, and delivery.
• Act as the central point of contact for procurement within the project scope and support with budgets and cost estimates.
• Monitor compliance with internal procedures, laws, and regulations, and analyze costs and KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement by critically reviewing specifications and proposing cost-efficient alternatives.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, of which at least 2 years are in a senior role within complex engineering or maritime projects.
• Experience with ERP systems and MS Office; knowledge of quality management and industrial standards is a plus.
• Strong in negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder management.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
