We're looking for a Senior Programme Manager to join the London and South-East Specialist Delivery Team.

This is a wonderfully varied role, covering team leadership, practical programme and project management delivery, and working in the Specialist Delivery leadership team to support initiatives linked to our new strategy.

You'll have the unique opportunity to truly experience the breadth of what the National Trust delivers in London and the South East, supporting and developing our project management profession within region. What it's like to work here

You'll be part of the Trust's specialist delivery team: a flexible resource of specialist skills and expertise. As one of a multidisciplinary team of experts, including curators, fundraisers, building surveyors and project managers, you'll be working with others to help make things happen.

As this role covers the London & South East region, your contractual place of work will be the nearest National Trust regional office to your home. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We'll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40-60% of your working week.

What you'll be doing

To begin with, you'll be leading for two major programmes of work within the region, which you should expect would take around 60% of your time. The remainder of your working week will be helping us navigate the how in terms of making our strategy a reality, supporting the London and South East Project Support Office with its priority work. Longer term the role will remain flexible depending on regional priorities.

You'll play a key role in delivering a multi-phase programme to bring a new offer to life at Munstead Wood, alongside supporting regional priorities linked to project and programme delivery. Working with colleagues across the Trust, you'll contribute to the development of best practice, continuous improvement and wider organisational priorities through national professional networks.

Who we're looking for

We'd love to hear from you if you're:

• able to demonstrate extensive experience of successfully delivering complex end to end project/programme management, including defining resources, leading £multi-million procurement, securing project teams and matrix management across multiple projects/programmes
• an expert with up to date technical knowledge and skills preferably as a Chartered Project Professional (or at a minimum by holding an APM PPQ/PMQ/MSP qualification)
• experienced in mentoring others in the profession, and be able to show evidence of ongoing CPD in your career to date
• an excellent communicator, skilled at managing complex and challenging situations with competing interests and a diverse range of people
• a flexible thinker and problem-solver, skilled at negotiating and building productive networks, and confident in using your expertise to influence decisions up to Executive level

• a leader for inclusion, who finds ways to create an inclusive culture
• a senior manager with experience leading teams in a project and programme management setting
