About this opportunity: We're looking for a Senior Product Owner to lead the growth strategy and delivery of initiatives that drive mobile app downloads and adoption for the Scottish Widows app and support prioritising and leading initiatives in partnership with brand and marketing colleagues. This is a pivotal role in accelerating our digital growth and ensuring customers choose the Scottish Widows App as their primary channel for engagement.You'll define and own the vision for app acquisition and activation, working across marketing, technology, and customer experience teams to deliver compelling propositions and frictionless journeys that encourage customers to download and use our app. What you'll be doing: Growth Strategy Leadership - Define and execute a clear strategy to increase App downloads and active usage, aligned with Group digital objectives. Roadmap Ownership - Develop and manage a roadmap of initiatives focused on acquisition, activation, and engagement, prioritising based on impact and Return on Investment (ROI). Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with marketing, engineering, and analytics teams to deliver integrated campaigns and optimised journeys that drive downloads. Customer Insight & Experimentation - Use data, research, and A/B testing to identify barriers to adoption and continuously improve conversion rates. Proposition Development - Shape compelling value propositions and incentives that encourage customers to download and engage with the app. Performance & Benefits Realisation - Define KPIs (e.g., download volumes, activation rates, retention), monitor performance, and report impact to senior stakeholders. Governance & Compliance - Ensure all initiatives meet regulatory, security, and risk standards. What you'll need: Senior Product Ownership Expertise - Proven experience in driving digital growth, ideally in mobile App acquisition or engagement. Strategic Influence - Ability to shape priorities and secure alignment across multiple business areas and senior leaders. Customer-Centric Mindset - Deep understanding of user behaviour and ability to translate insights into compelling experiences. Commercial Acumen - Strong track record of delivering measurable outcomes that drive adoption and engagement. Leadership Skills - Experience in coaching and developing product teams, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
