We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager who will work closely with product, marketing and our agencies to help define and communicate our consumer products, propositions and go to market strategies.
Responsibilities- Embed the Product Marketing team as experts in understanding our suite of products and where the team can add the most value at different stages in the consumer journey, based on commercial targets and consumer/market insights.
- Liaise with Marketing at planning stage to be the voice of the product team.
- Influence how prominent product is within our brand communication.
- Make recommendations on what kind of Marketing a product needs to achieve its targets/OKRs.
- Foster and nurture close collaboration between Marketing and Product so that Marketing can influence the product roadmap where appropriate.
- Set the strategic direction for product marketing.
- Identify gaps and opportunities within our consumer offering and work with the product teams on discovery and development of these.
- Work in close collaboration with the product team and the Marketing team (including Brand Managers, CRM, Content, PR and agencies) to develop go to market plans for new and existing products, based on strong understanding of consumer needs and analysis of key data and insights.
- Create compelling value propositions, positioning and messaging frameworks for new products and services, working with agencies and internal teams where appropriate.
- Be the voice of the consumer within core products, utilising user segmentation and journey mapping to hone our consumer journeys, driving up awareness and usage by deploying the right message, to the right audience, at the right point in their journey with us.
- Be involved from an early stage in the development of new products and propositions, having a point of view on market trends, consumer behaviours and competitive changes that could impact our consumer offering.
- Manage a team of two Product Marketing Managers.
- Demonstrates a real passion for bringing products to market to achieve business targets, leading with gravitas.
- Has a unique mix of analytical, strategic and creative skills. Loves the variety of thinking required to analyse data, set strategy & direction, execute creative marketing and win hearts and minds along the way.
- Excellent communicator and storyteller, comfortable presenting to and influencing other teams around the business, including senior stakeholders, on projects and plans.
- Exceptional attention to detail and an iterative test and learn mindset, always looking for ways to improve the effectiveness of product marketing across the end to end consumer experience.
- Ability to make the complex simple.
- Good at managing multiple stakeholders and inputs to create one simple view.
- Strategic thinker who looks to solve business challenges by starting with the consumer.
- Loves working with a variety of people and skill sets and relishes the variety of conversations contributed to, from legal and compliance to tone of voice, creative and messaging.
- Has experience working for a digital brand developing new digital products and services and understands both the challenges and rewards that come with this.
- 10+ years experience working in Marketing or Product Marketing (must have product marketing experience).
- Highly organised, proactive and a skilled multi tasker, capable of pivoting quickly when needed and confident thinking on your feet.
- Past work in a consumer products organisation working with a complex ecosystem of products.
- A proven track record of working closely with Product and Marketing leadership and helping to shape go to market strategy from the early stages of product building.
- Demonstrable experience of ownership (willingness to welcome responsibility and make things that matter happen) and comfortable and confident in discussions with people at all levels of the business: technical and non technical, senior and operational management. We have a very flat structure.
