Senior Product Manager - In-Person Payments

In-person payments at Adyen include payments made in stores on traditional payment terminals and also facilitates shopper experiences on small card readers or even on mobile devices. Adyen's In-person payments solution is growing exponentially, and we're looking for an experienced Product Manager to join the team.

In this role, you'll be responsible for building the core of our in person payments processing, introducing new payment features and payment methods to our devices. You will be working very closely together with our engineering teams based in Bangalore, Amsterdam and Chicago to build and improve product features along with managing stakeholders across the globe.

What You'll Do
  • Define and drive strategic initiatives with the goal of advancing our In person payments product
  • Act proactively to get things done, collaborating across teams and levels
  • Work closely with engineering, design, data, operations, and commercial teams to enhance in-store payment experiences and create industry-transforming products (0 to 1 or 1 to 100)
  • Act as a key point of contact between customers and Adyen's internal teams, ensuring alignment across departments for seamless product delivery
  • Act as a multiplier in the product organization by mentoring and scaling a high-performing team
Who You Are
  • 8-10+ years in a product management role, preferably with a focus on Payments, Point of Sale, Hardware, or Mobile Development
  • Past experience in the payments industry or managing payments-related projects in other sectors
  • Hands-on when necessary to fill gaps and set practical examples for excellence
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical subjects, maintaining composure when navigating challenging concepts
  • Experience working closely with engineers, designers, and external partners to build products at scale
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to simplify technical details for non-technical audiences
  • Data-driven mindset with a track record of turning insights into actionable product decisions
  • Strong business sense in identifying customer pain points and influencing key commercial decisions
