As the Senior Product Manager in the Data Platform space, you will own our next generation data platform vision; the core platform enabling JET to scale its rapid growth through data-driven features and AI native capabilities. This is a high-agency role for a strategic builder, not a backlog administrator. You will operate as a strategic leader, defining the product strategy for our next gen platform, driving organization wide adoption, and directly enabling all downstream product teams with the self-service, fastest, most reliable capabilities to leverage data and ship data powered product features quickly.
Location: London or Amsterdam - 3 days a week from either our London or our Amsterdam office (based on your current location), and 2 days working from home.
Key components to the position:- Shape Product Strategy and Drive Roadmap: Establish, evangelize, and own the multi-quarter vision, strategy and roadmap for the JET Data Platform, aligned with the company strategy map and focused on delivering the highest value.
- Influence & Alignment: Align senior stakeholders and domain teams around a unified strategy, using data-backed insights to gain buy-in across the organization.
- Rapid Discovery: Navigate high ambiguity to identify the "right" problems to solve, ensuring our platform reduces friction for every user at JET.
- Execution Momentum: Translate highly ambiguous, complex data platform challenges into clear, actionable, and outcome-based roadmaps, maintaining rapid execution momentum for the team.
- Technical Partnership: Partner with Engineering to solve complex challenges around Data platform core capabilities. Challenge technical decisions to ensure they deliver maximum user value.
- Extensive experience building successful products, with strong experience specifically in Data Platforms. Familiarity with Data Mesh is necessary.
- Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset, treating every launch as a learning opportunity and actively soliciting and applying feedback to continuously reiterate the platform's capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high ambiguity, make clear decisions with limited information, and maintain momentum and focus under rapid, unforeseen strategic change.
- Proven ability to manage relationships with a wide range of users and stakeholders across the business; communicate the product's vision, roadmap, and learnings to gain buy-in and alignment.
- Anchor every platform decision in solving the user's problem first, ensuring the tools you build accelerate their work and improve their trust, rather than adding friction.
- Exceptional ability to use data (e.g., adoption, latency, costs) to prioritise, set direction and push back on low-value requests.
