Are you a driven procurement professional with a passion for delivering high impact strategic projects? Do you thrive in fast paced environments where you can shape procurement strategy and influence key decision making?

We're looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist to lead and deliver end to end procurement activity. In this role, you'll take ownership of strategic sourcing initiatives, working closely with stakeholders to ensure value for money, mitigate risk, and deliver long term benefits. You'll have the opportunity to work on impactful, meaningful procurement - managing a varied and interesting workload that directly supports our mission.

You'll join an experienced, award nominated procurement team and collaborate closely with colleagues across the organisation to deliver value, reduce risk and drive long term benefit.

This is a role where procurement is more than commercial delivery - it's a chance to use your professional expertise to do good, making a tangible difference through thoughtful, ethical and sustainable sourcing.

While our ideal candidate is a procurement professional with experience in Marketing and Fundraising, we are also open to applicants from a variety of spend area backgrounds. We're equally interested in people who come from the fundraising or marketing space - particularly those who've been involved in supplier management and tendering - and who are keen to grow their expertise in procurement. For the right person, we can support development and help build your procurement capability more broadly.

Please note: this is a strategic procurement role with no transactional purchasing or administrative buying activity. Your focus will be on complex sourcing, category management, commercial leadership and delivering long term organisational value - not purchase order processing or routine administrative tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Leading the full procurement lifecycle from strategy development through tendering, evaluation, negotiation and contract award
  • Building strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the charity to understand business priorities, influence decisions and deliver the best commercial outcomes
  • Delivering procurement strategies that drive savings, efficiencies and improved commercial outcomes
  • Managing Procurement projects confidently, including timelines, risks and reporting, to ensure successful and timely delivery
  • Providing high quality management information and insight throughout the tender to contract process to support effective decision making
  • Championing responsible procurement by incorporating sustainability, equity and ethical considerations into sourcing decisions
Qualifications
  • Qualified to degree level (or equivalent by experience) with membership (or working towards one) of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to collect, manipulate, and deliver data for insightful management information.
  • Experience of negotiating, awarding and managing contracts across the full procurement lifecycle, with a solid understanding of relevant markets, products and services.
  • Proven experience delivering end to end procurement strategies and projects, from scoping through to contract award.
  • Ability to develop and lead sourcing strategies that support organisational priorities.
  • Experience managing high value categories - our team covers Marketing & Fundraising, IT & Telecoms, HR Services, Corporate Services, Logistics & Print, Direct Materials and Property & Facilities (experience in any relevant or transferable category is welcomed).
  • Ability to manage suppliers across a large supply base, with strong stakeholder management skills.

Interested? The closing date for applications is 23.59 on Tuesday 31st March 2026. Interviews commencing shortly after.
