Are you a procurement professional who thrives on solving problems, building relationships, and driving results?

We're looking for a Senior Procurement Officer who can deliver high-quality, compliant procurement that makes a real difference - to our residents, our people, and our future. If you're a sharp, commercially minded professional who wants to lead change and bring tangible results to life, this could be your next big step.

This isn't your typical 9 to 5. This is a role where your expertise will shape how we buy, how we partner, and how we create better value for our communities.

What's in it for you .

In addition to the salary, we offer several of benefits, including:

  • High street discount schemes
  • Health cash plans
  • 26 days' annual leave, increasing to 29 after three years, with the opportunity to buy more
  • Flexible Bank Holidays - take them when it suits you
  • Car leasing scheme
  • Hybrid working - offering you the flexibility to thrive in your role. You'll have the opportunity to blend the best of both worlds, spending approximately two to three days per week in the office once settled in the role. This is flexible and depends on meeting cycles and board activity. We also offer an optional nine-day fortnight scheme, allowing you to compress your hours if it suits the role.

What you'll be doing

You'll be managing procurement from strategy to contract, applying innovation and compliance at every step. You'll be:

  • Leading end-to end above threshold procurements across a wide range of categories via frameworks

  • Leading end-to-end procurements (over £25,000 and £200,000+) across a wide range of categories

  • Helping teams shape their procurement strategies and apply best practices

  • Ensuring compliance with the Procurement Act 2024, PCRs, and internal policies

  • Managing risk, supporting contract implementation, and maintaining clean records

  • Enhancing supplier engagement and market intelligence to drive better decisions

  • Delivering measurable value for money and social value through your projects

  • Promoting collaborative working with stakeholders across the business and beyond

We recommend you read the full job description to get a really good understanding of what the role entails, you can find this as a downloadable attachment at the bottom of the advert.

  • 3+ years' experience in public sector procurement

  • Strong understanding and demonstratable knowledge and application of the Procurement Act 2023, Procurement Regulations 2024, and related legislation

  • Hands-on experience with e-portals, frameworks, and contract management

  • The ability to manage multiple projects with confidence and attention to detail

  • Great stakeholder skills - you're a communicator, influencer, and trusted adviser

  • A passion for continuous improvement and delivering excellent value
