Senior Pricing Analyst

We are looking to employ a Senior Pricing Analyst to be based in London on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will support actuarial pricing support to MRSL.

You will work closely with underwriting, data, and strategy teams to design, implement, and refine pricing models and frameworks that support profitable growth and innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a robust pricing framework supporting the European expansion project, collaborating closely with the London-based MRS-GM pricing team and underwriters in London, Ireland, Spain, and Germany.
  • Assess current pricing models for suitability to proposed portfolios.
  • Develop and implement pricing models for new lines of business, focusing initially on Property and Property & Casualty (P&C) combined products.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and data teams to ensure data quality and sound assumptions.
  • Support the build-out of pricing infrastructure, tools, and governance frameworks in new locations.
  • Produce and review pricing and portfolio management information for performance monitoring.
  • Investigate and utilize alternative data sources for model parameterization.
  • Ensure all advice complies with TAS requirements.
  • Promote good conduct to deliver optimal outcomes for customers and policyholders.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience in Pricing within General Insurance.
  • Knowledge of Property insurance and/or P&C products is advantageous.
  • Strong mathematical/statistical skills in (re)insurance.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of translating complex models into business language.
  • Good business acumen and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player willing to mentor junior team members.
  • Knowledge of actuarial methods, techniques, and practical application within a business context.
  • Familiarity with various modeling techniques for pricing.
  • Understanding of FCA and/or European regulations.
  • Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance principles.
