Are you an actuarial professional with a passion for pricing and data-driven decision-making? We're partnering with a dynamic international insurer looking to strengthen its technical pricing capabilities across Europe. This newly created role will play a central part in delivering sophisticated pricing solutions and developing a next-generation analytics platform.
Based in Brussels, the successful candidate will work closely with cross-border underwriting and actuarial teams, while supporting broader European portfolios.
Your Impact
- Design and evolve a cutting edge Pricing Insights Hub, a central analytics platform to enhance pricing precision and portfolio management
- Collaborate with underwriters and actuaries to deliver predictive modelling, business intelligence, and performance insights
- Apply GLMs and advanced analytics including machine learning and external datasets to support pricing strategy, risk assessment, and case pricing
- Provide actuarial input for business planning, class performance reviews, and risk selection
- Partner with key functions including reserving, catastrophe modelling, and internal modelling teams
- Help shape pricing frameworks and ensure compliance with internal standards and governance
What We're Looking For
- A nearly or newly qualified actuary, ideally with 2 to 5 years' experience in non life pricing
- Strong analytical background across key commercial lines such as Property, Liability, Motor Fleet, and Engineering
- Proficiency in Python or R with hands-on experience in predictive modelling and machine learning including boosting and random forests
- Solid working knowledge of Excel including VBA with SQL and SAS experience a plus
- Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder skills. English fluency is essential, with French highly advantageous
- Curious, collaborative, and comfortable working across functions and countries
