What You'll Do

• Lead the technical design and architecture of a cloud based data platform that supports Eneco's long term energy outlook.
• Develop and maintain solutions that handle, store, process, and utilize data from customer information, smart meters, wind turbines, solar panels, power plants, and IoT devices.
• Collaborate closely with strategic portfolio managers, data scientists, traders, and cross functional teams to shape key decisions.
• Drive robust, scalable, and secure data engineering practices, ensuring compliance with software engineering best practices such as code reviews, version control, testing, and CI/CD.
• Manage deployment, monitoring, and production operations of data pipelines and applications.
• Document technical decisions and code, providing guidance to colleagues.
• Gather and discuss project requirements with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in a technical data role (data engineer, ML engineer, or data scientist).
• Hands on expertise with Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake.
• Strong command of Python and SQL.
• Experience managing multi disciplinary data teams.
• Solid understanding of data management concepts, including schema evolution and storage formats.
• Proficiency in software engineering best practices.

Location & Schedule

• Strategic Portfolio Management team in Rotterdam.
• Hybrid working model: 40% office, 40% home, 20% flexible. Optional short overseas assignments.

Compensation & Benefits

• Gross annual salary: €82,000 - €132,000 (based on role and experience).
