We're looking for an experienced Senior PMO Support Officer to join a high-profile programme within a major UK public sector organisation. This role sits within a central change function, supporting the delivery of complex, large-scale transformation initiatives.
You'll work closely with Programme and Project Managers, providing critical PMO services to ensure effective governance, reporting, and delivery assurance across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Provide end-to-end PMO support across programmes and projects
- Lead on planning, tracking, and dependency management
- Own RAID management and drive proactive risk and issue resolution
- Produce and analyse high-quality reporting, challenging data where appropriate
- Support financial tracking, budgeting, and forecasting activities
- Define and monitor KPIs and performance metrics
- Ensure adherence to governance frameworks and change control processes
- Act as secretariat for governance forums (board packs, minutes, actions)
- Engage with stakeholders across all levels, providing insights and updates
- Deputise for Project/Programme Managers when required
- Proven experience in a PMO role on complex, enterprise-scale programmes
- Strong background in governance, reporting, and assurance
- Experience with RAID, financial tracking, and portfolio reporting
- Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills
- Confident communicator, able to challenge stakeholders constructively
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience producing senior-level reports, packs, and presentations
- Advanced MS Project and Excel skills
- Experience with enterprise PPM tools (e.g. Planview, Oracle, Changepoint)
