Our established and busy Planning team has an exciting opportunity for a talented, dynamic, and ambitious Senior Planner (or Planner) to join their team to work on a broad range of planning projects across the Thames Valley, including residential, mixed-use, retail, strategic land, and commercial proposals of various types and scales, including regeneration and placemaking opportunities. Our clients include house builders, landowners, education institutions, land promotion companies, public sector clients including the NHS, and Homes England.
About you
You will have a background in town planning and be committed to continuing your professional development (including RTPI chartership), with a willingness to learn and progress. Your role will include:
- Working as part of a team on the promotion of large-scale residential, mixed-use, and commercial developments (both Brownfield and Greenfield) through the Local Plan process;
- Coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams and project management;
- Conducting research and site appraisals on projects for our client base;
- Working on major applications and planning appeals where required (Outline, Full, and Reserved Matters), including attending meetings, preparing meeting minutes, deliverable trackers, programs, draft planning statements, appeal statements, attending public consultation events, and preparing responses to consultees;
- Preparing, submitting, and negotiating small to medium-sized planning applications and appeals;
- Drafting representations to Local Plans and Supplementary Planning Documents;
- Contributing to business development activities, including attending networking events.
