Senior Planner

The Opportunity

Due to increased expansion, our client, a leading nuclear consultant are recruiting a Senior Planner to help drive and deliver their successful project portfolio on their clients site in Aldermaston, Berkshire.

Your duties and responsibilities will be

• Take responsibility for identifying all 3rd party constraints, design, procurement and construction information into an integrated programme
• Provide representation and leadership for Supply Operations in support of stakeholder requirements, utilizing strong Planning knowledge & P6 skills
• Delivering a consistently high quality of work and ideas
• Develop application of disciplines on a work stream
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules that detail tasks, milestones, and deadlines.
• Collaborate with construction and engineering teams on-site and other relevant professionals.
• Monitor Project Management Timelines and adjust plans as necessary to ensure timely completion.
• Identify areas for improvement and recommend the right strategies for cost reduction.
• Work in close partnership with the Project Director or Project Manager to strategically plan and schedule major projects using your preferred planning program.
• Keep meticulous records of project resources, changes, labour, and expenses, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.

It's great if you also have the following

• Active DV security clearance
• Experience in programme / project planning including best practice planning methodology and the use of the P6 and other software packages required to support this.
• Understanding and knowledge of all disciplines within project controls
• Good communication and presentation skills
• A passion to develop others in the benefits of planning
• Prioritising and working to challenging timescales
• Experience in nuclear and/or defence sector
• Working in environment of nuclear regulation
