Job Description

This position has now been filled, but has been left on our website as we have other similar vacancies on an ongoing basis.

More importantly, we have vacancies that are not advertised due to their confidential nature. It is therefore in your interest to email your CV, as a Word document, depending on your sector, to:

  • Head of Packaging recruitment - Greg Nelson -
  • Head of Print recruitment - Neil Pearson -
  • Head of Paper recruitment - Gary Young -
  • Board level, account management, and all levels of sales vacancies - George Thompson -

Our divisional heads will then email your CV internally to the consultant who specialises in your exact sector. For example, a category of packaging is cartons, a category of print is print management. In fact, we have over 30 specialist categories.

Our specialist consultant will contact you if we have a live vacancy that matches, or in the near future as soon as a good match to your skill set and experience becomes available.

The Packaging Project Manager is a key role within our client, who provide creative, artwork, pre-press production services and consultancy to an impressive roster of well-known brands.

The Packaging Project Manager has primary responsibility for overall project management of all packaging activity, and providing subject matter consultancy and support to customers, on site production controllers, account management and production management.

In this role you'll work with customers alongside production controllers and/or account managers for all creative and artwork project briefings to inject expert input and insight into the briefing process, establish and maintain effective end to end project management to ensure delivery of projects that exceed all creative, quality, service and cost expectations.

You'll have accountability for managing financial and performance reporting, establishing, embedding and maintaining best practice customer/ interface processes, production briefing and workflow for packaging artwork, reprographics, proofing, print and colour management, so you'll need to know your stuff.

You'll also be required to provide strategic input to the management of key accounts, demonstrating expert packaging knowledge, exploring innovations and inspiring the customer!

About you

You'll have extensive knowledge and experience of the packaging design to print process, having been involved in creative briefing to press passes and everything in between, so you'll need to know how to inspire the best creative, manage multiple projects effectively, and understand challenges in print.

You'll also be exceptionally organized, possess strong planning and strategic skills, be able to analyse and break down delivery of large projects into a deliverable plan. You'll also be a superb communicator and able to make and keep strong, trusted relationships with a total customer service mindset, and have the credentials to back this up.

We prefer MS Word format (.doc or .docx)

Being the largest recruitment company in print, packaging and paper we receive new vacancies on a daily basis. The software we use to "skill match" can "read" a word document but not a PDF. You will be considered for many more positions if your CV is in word format.

We ask that you only apply for any of our vacancies if you are resident in the UK and you work / have recently worked in the print, packaging or paper sectors.
