About the Organisation
A leading defence and national security organisation is seeking a Senior Operational Technology (OT) Consultant/Senior Cyber Security Consultant to support a major new facility build within the defence nuclear sector.
You'll join a small cyber/OT team with Principals and Junior Consultants. The role exists to take workload from Principal Consultants while also mentoring juniors and delivering hands-on technical work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead OT cyber security deliverables on a major nuclear/defence programme.
  • Conduct OT security risk assessments on equipment, systems and industrial environments.
  • Coordinate with project teams and vendors to gather technical information and validate system details.
  • Deliver security compliance activities and technical implementation aligned to standards such as IEC 62443.
  • Produce security documentation, risk records and technical guidance.
  • Mentor junior consultants and support quality assurance across their work.
  • Contribute to secure design, architecture and control implementation in OT/ICS environments.
Essential Experience
  • You must have Active DV clearance - we cannot put you through this if you do not already have it
  • Strong Operational Technology (OT) cyber security background
  • Practical experience delivering components of IEC 62443 (certificate not necessary)
  • Experience with risk assessments, threat analysis and security control implementation
  • Ability to engage with vendors and engineering teams to source and verify technical information
  • Experience working in highly regulated or critical national infrastructure environments
  • Comfortable mentoring junior team members
Desirable Experience
  • Defence, nuclear or wider CNI sector experience
  • Knowledge of NCSC, NIST CSF, or ISO 27001
  • Understanding of ICS/SCADA, PLCs, and industrial protocols
