Job Title: Senior .NET Software Engineer
Location: Hybrid - 1 - 2 days per month in Leeds
Salary: Up to £90K + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Software Engineer Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver scalable, maintainable, and robust software solutions aligned with engineering best practices
  • Collaborate closely with your team and stakeholders to solve complex technical problems
  • Review code and provide constructive feedback to support clean, efficient, and reliable software delivery
  • Actively participate in removing technical blockers to help your team deliver at pace
  • Analyse requirements and dependencies, estimating effort and risk where necessary
  • Write high-quality code using C# and .NET 8, supported by thorough unit testing
  • Ensure high standards of observability, operational excellence, and software performance
  • Engage in continuous improvement by evaluating new tools, technologies, and methodologies
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing across teams and support preparation of releases

Software Engineer Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong technical background with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET 8/9 and object-oriented design principles
  • Experience developing microservices and RESTful APIs with tools like Redis, Kafka, and MySQL
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation and orchestration
  • Experience working with Git, versioning practices, and CI/CD workflows
  • Strong unit testing and mocking skills for maintaining code quality
  • Excellent time management and a pragmatic, solution-focused mindset
