We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our global team focused on cost optimization. This role involves a broad scope of engineering work across all our products in the EMEA & SAL regions.

Position Summary

You will handle industrial and mechanical design, verification, implementation, and technical documentation for your areas, mainly related to high-volume products. The position is based in Dundee, Scotland, or Malmö, Sweden, working within a global team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Mechanical design development and 3D CAD modeling of exterior and internal parts.
2. Participate in industrial design discussions.
3. Potential to lead colleagues involved in mechanical design.
4. Define test methods, verify designs, and analyze results.
5. Write technical documentation, including requirements and test reports.
6. Prepare designs for release and production implementation.

Skills and Qualifications

1. BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
2. 4+ years of relevant experience; experience in sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, machining, packaging electronic components, and cooling solutions is preferred but not mandatory.
3. Proficiency in CAD systems, preferably SolidWorks.
4. Experience with PDM systems like SmarTeam or similar.
5. Proficiency in MS Office applications.
6. Experience working in test labs or experimental shops.

Essential Functions

1. Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
2. Strong problem-solving skills, results-driven, customer-focused.
3. Ability to create and understand engineering documents.
4. Comfortable working in international and remote teams.
5. Efficient in individual and team work, both on-site and remotely.
6. Willing to travel to DFS sites as needed.
