As mechanical & piping/process verification engineer you will be responsible for the follow up of the leads and projects that have been allocated to you and for training/mentoring of the local staff. The main roles and responsibilities of the position are :

  • Design verification of mechanical & piping/process discipline, verification surveys at vendor for materials and components, and at site fabrication and commissioning for offshore O&G project.
  • Develop service development strategies and plans for verification services (VMC - Verification of Materials and Components, VCA - Verification and Certification of Asset).
  • Be a part of the bid management, producing proposals and working with colleagues to build existing verification services and new service areas in relation to mechanical & piping/process technical background.
  • Lead verification related services.
  • Contribute to local development of verification competence.
  • Work on multiple projects, managing own time to meet deadlines.
  • Plan, project manage, execute and report on all aspects of verification service delivery and related scopes of work.
  • Technical report writing.

Education
  • Minimum Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent degree in Mechanical/Process Engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • A relevant masters and/or post-doctoral degree will be looked upon favourably.

Experience of the following would be an advantage
  • Minimum of five (5) years experiences working withverification services and/or mechanical & piping/process engineering design for offshore O&G projects.
  • Working knowledge of design, verification activities in mechanical & piping/process discipline will be a plus.
  • General understanding about technical rules and regulations, international codes, standards, etc. for mechanical & piping system design and surveys for offshore O&G projects.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including budget control, customer care, management of sub-contractors and progress against project milestones.
Physical abilities
  • Normal office environment, regular walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing and reaching.
  • Domestic and international travelto other company office locations, site locations, client offices and conferences.
  • Occasional work outdoors including site visits, traveling by car and offshore/onshore site surveys.
