ASR Group is the world's largest refiner and marketer of cane sugar, with an annual production capacity of more than 6 million tons of sugar. The company produces a full line of grocery, industrial, food service, and specialty sweetener products. Across North America, ASR Group owns and operates six sugar refineries in Louisiana, New York, California, Maryland, Canada, and Mexico. In the European Union, the company owns and operates sugar refineries in England and Portugal. ASR Group also owns mills in Mexico and Belize. The company's brand portfolio includes Domino, C&H, Redpath, Tate & Lyle, Lyle's, and Sidul.
In this role, you will lead the UK brand & e-commerce team for ASR Group Europe (ASRGE). The team consists of a Marketing Assistant, two Brand Managers, a Digital Marketing Manager, and personnel delivering e-commerce fulfilment. The team manages the Lyle's brand (No.1 Golden Syrup), Tate & Lyle (No.2 in Sugars), and Whitworths (No.4 in Sugars), as well as overseeing specific e-commerce activities. Your responsibilities include producing annual brand plans, delivering targeted activation aligned with brand goals, achieving e-commerce targets, and maintaining owned media channels.
This is an exciting time for the business as we look to push NPD projects, with this position playing a major role. There is a strong team and larger marketing function to support success.
Location: WC2E 9HE (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days from home)
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own & implement annual brand plans, ensuring marketing goals are met through the marketing mix and aligned with innovation, sales, and other teams. Plans should deliver against business and marketing objectives.
- Oversee agencies and internal resources to deliver marketing activations, including creative assets, media planning, and related elements.
- Lead team members managing owned media channels (web & social channels) to maintain performance.
- Develop successful e-commerce store fronts, manage customer acquisition, fulfilment, and ongoing performance.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with external agencies, marketing colleagues, sales, and other functions for alignment and project support.
- Manage budgets to maximize value and ensure efficient spend with a focus on ROI.
- Maintain product portfolios for profitability, supporting periodic reviews with analysts and sales colleagues.
- Develop and coach team members with clear responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL WORK EXPERIENCES
- Marketing experience, preferably in FMCG sector
- Leadership of a consumer brand
- Successful multi-channel brand activation experience
- Experience in activating and establishing new products
- Proven ability to increase sales through e-commerce
