Senior Manufacturing Engineer MRO

Can you solve technical production issues and implement improvements?

At GKN Fokker Landing Gear, you'll work on the maintenance and overhaul of landing gear systems for well-known aircraft programs such as the NH90, Apache, and F-35. You'll be the go-to expert on the shop floor when technical challenges arise, while actively contributing to smart solutions and process optimizations.

What will you do?

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in the MRO team (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) in Papendrecht, you are the first point of contact for complex technical issues on the production floor. You'll collaborate across departments, create process instructions, and develop tailored solutions for OEMs and customers.

Your responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical contact point for the shop floor and vendors;
• Prepare and manage MRO process routings;
• Design and propose repair or salvage procedures and consult with OEMs or design authorities;
• Support technicians and operators in improving tooling, equipment, and processes;
• Investigate and resolve product or process deviations;
• Drive and implement improvement initiatives using Lean methods;
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with departments like Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Production.

• Gross monthly salary between €3,384 and €5,399 (depending on experience and education, in accordance with the Metalektro CLA);

What do you bring?

You have strong technical knowledge, are solution-oriented, and able to collaborate effectively across various departments. You are precise, communicative, and perform well under pressure.

• A technical bachelor's degree, preferably in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering;
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in Aerospace MRO;
• Familiarity with aviation legislation and quality systems (e.g. AS9110, EASA/EMAR-145);
• Knowledge of Lean processes and improvement methods;
• Proficient in English (spoken and written);
• By origin you are from Europe (NATO), applicants from outside Europe will not be included in the procedure.
