You will manage and consult as part of a wider project team on client engagements and be involved in the Advisory aspects of an Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) project. Planning and Profitability Consulting practice in Business Finance focuses on the design, implementation and operation of processes and solutions that improve our clients' ability to improve profitability, and prepare for what the future could hold.

You will be responsible for:
  • Managing a team in the successful design of EPM solutions for our clients, supporting e.g. Process Design, Vendor selection and Change Management across our engagements.
  • Leading client workshops to identify client requirements, map processes and define business drivers.
  • Advising our clients on best practices, emerging technologies and industry trends within EPM.
  • Developing and managing engagements around a project plan, proactively communicating on delivery progress alongside identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
  • Monitoring project progress in accordance with agreed milestones, ensuring on-time delivery within Budget.
  • Building trusted and long-lasting relationships with client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert.
  • Contributing to the development of our Business Finance propositions, aligning to market trends and Deloitte's Thought Leadership in Finance, leading internal teams in developing material where required.
  • Contributing to the development of internal knowledge assets, project methodologies, templates and accelerators.
  • Managing business development opportunities including responding to RFPs, contributing to proposals, and delivering proposal presentations.
  • Proactively support and help identify new business opportunities, including through networking with other teams outside of Business Finance.
  • Driving your own development and developing talent of the team through mentoring, coaching and knowledge sharing.
  • Managing and nurturing diverse teams fostering a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.

To be successful in this role you should be able to demonstrate:
  • Significant experience in industry or in practice (e.g. Consulting or equivalent), focussing on Enterprise Performance Management (e.g. Enterprise Business Planning, FP&A) or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of finance and accounting processes, including Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Reporting.
  • Strong understanding of EPM principles, methodologies, and best practices, with a focus on applying these principles to real-world business problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex process designs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven experience leading and managing projects and project teams, highlighting your project management, planning, execution and monitoring skills.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one leading EPM technology (e.g. Anaplan, OneStream, Oracle, SAP).
  • Proven ability to work effectively in diverse teams and teams across multiple regions.
  • Experience in business case, business development and proposal writing.
  • Professional certification (e.g. ACA/CIMA/ACCA/PMP or equivalent).
  • Understanding of ESG frameworks and/or ESG Reporting Standards.
  • Experience with data analytics and visualisation tools.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Proven experience in process mapping and documentation techniques (e.g. Business Process Model and Notation).
