Senior Manager or Director, Data & AI Delivery Lead (Central Government)

Our Data, AI, Solutions and Engineering (DAISE) practice are looking for an experienced Data and AI Delivery Lead in Central Government to support the interlock between DAISE and the Central Government industry sector at the company. Our DAISE practice consists of over 100 UK and nearshore data professionals, with deep expertise across data strategy, data science, governance and engineering. We focus on delivering value-adding, sustainable data and AI capabilities aligned to our clients' needs. Our team won Data Consultancy of the Year at the British Data Awards 2025, and we're partners with Microsoft and AWS.

This senior role will sit within DAISE and work closely with the company's Central Government industry teams, helping sectors translate market priorities into data, analytics and AI opportunities, build senior client relationships, shape pipelines across key accounts, and lead the successful delivery of DAISE engagements.

What you will be doing

• You'll own the delivery of large-scale data and AI programmes within Central Government, bringing together multidisciplinary DAISE teams across data strategy, analytics, AI, engineering, architecture, governance and industry SMEs to deliver work that creates meaningful, lasting outcomes for our clients
• You'll be accountable for growing and delivering DAISE's Data and AI services within Central Government, working with the DAISE interlock partner, sector GTM and account teams to build pipeline, shape opportunities and deliver high-quality client engagements
• You'll provide commercial leadership across Central Government, owning proposals, statements of work, delivery commercials and team shaping, while working with industry teams to originate, qualify and build a strong pipeline of DAISE opportunities
• You'll act as the day-to-day interlock between DAISE and Central Government teams, connecting sector ambition with DAISE capability and shaping expertise in both directions. You'll help embed data, analytics and AI thinking into sector priorities, propositions and client conversations, while bringing market insight, client needs and delivery learnings back into DAISE to strengthen our services, assets and future propositions
• You'll build trusted relationships with senior clients across Central Government and within the company, raising DAISE's profile through sector conversations, client engagement, client events and industry conferences, and shaping data and AI opportunities that respond to market priorities and create measurable client value.
• You'll help develop sector-specific data and AI propositions, products and reusable assets that respond to market needs and strengthen how DAISE goes to market in Central Government

Your skills and experience You'll have led or contributed to senior delivery across government engagements that use data and AI to improve public value, policy delivery and operational effectiveness, such as citizen-facing digital services, secure data sharing across departments, casework and service optimisation, evidence-based policy and performance reporting, responsible AI adoption, or modern data platforms that support more joined-up, efficient public services.

• You'll bring 10+ years of consulting experience in Central Government, with the credibility to build long-term, trusted relationships with senior clients up to and including C-suite level, and the ability to align senior clients, sector leaders, account teams and multidisciplinary delivery teams around a shared agenda
• You'll bring experience leading large teams through complex data and AI programmes, with clear ownership of delivery quality, governance, risk management, team performance and client outcomes
• You'll be a lifelong learner, able to demonstrate a clear drive to keep developing your skills and stay current in a fast-moving AI landscape. You'll be passionate, entrepreneurial and excited by how data can solve complex client problems
• You'll lead from the front and role model the behaviours you expect from your team, mentoring and supporting junior colleagues as they develop their careers
• You'll have a track record of account growth, sales support, opportunity shaping and programme delivery, with strong commercial acumen across propositions, team shaping, delivery risks, margin and client value.
• You'll have deep expertise across data, analytics and AI strategy, including operating models, governance, data management, business adoption and value realisation. You'll also bring a broad understanding of modern data platforms, cloud technologies and AI-enabled business transformation, and be able to explain how these capabilities create value in an industry context.
• You'll work with clients to understand and frame their business problems, assess their current state, and identify, shape and deliver data, analytics and AI use cases from strategy through implementation. You'll balance business value, technical feasibility and delivery complexity, making practical recommendations that help shape clients' thinking.

• You may have a recognised profile in Central Government, with experience building market presence through client networks, industry events, publications, partnerships or thought leadership
• You may also bring experience leading large-scale digital or data transformation programmes from strategy through delivery
• You may have hands-on or advisory expertise in AWS, Azure, AI, advanced analytics or related modern data technologies
• You may have contributed to propositions, accelerators, market strategy or thought leadership that help build a distinctive market presence
• You may have expertise in designing and delivering modern data platforms and cloud-native architectures, enabling scalable, trusted and business-aligned data capabilities across complex organisations
• You may have experience defining, developing and operationalising data products, embedding product-centric ways of working to drive measurable business value, data adoption and decision-making
• You may have experience developing and delivering Central Government risk and compliance projects, including data controls and monitoring and developing data protection or AI governance frameworks, policies and operating models
