Senior Manager - Business Continuity & Crisis Management reporting to the LCH Business Controls Officer. This first line specialist role focuses on Business Continuity Management and Crisis Management for the entire entity, championing high quality risk management practices, assessing and monitoring the risk profile of the six business services, and ensuring compliance with LSEG and LCH Ltd risk appetite.
Key Responsibilities- Crisis Management & Incident Coordination
- Coordinate and administer Crisis Management Team activities, including documentation, communications, meeting logistics, and stakeholder engagement.
- Invoke and manage Bronze CMTs during incidents, ensuring communication protocols, escalation pathways and response procedures are followed.
- Scenario Exercises & Industry Engagement
- Support delivery of annual Group led Important Business Service scenario exercises, ensuring participation and effective analysis of outcomes.
- Plan and coordinate external industry exercises, engage relevant stakeholders and capture lessons learned to strengthen resilience.
- BCM Documentation & Standards Compliance
- Maintain central BCM documentation, Teams channels, and evidence repositories.
- Analyse recovery strategy testing results, work with Business Continuity Coordinators to track completion and highlight gaps.
- Coordinate periodic testing across services (e.g., EMIR switch testing, WAR site testing), manage schedules and follow ups.
- Ensure alignment with Group Crisis Management and BCM standards and support compliance with policy and regulatory expectations.
- Operational Support & Coordination
- Track actions, monitor progress and provide timely status updates.
- Engage regularly with Business Continuity Coordinators to build understanding of BCM requirements.
- Seek opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the BCO function.
- Apply expertise of legislation, regulatory and compliance requirements to develop recommendations for risk monitoring and reporting.
- Experience in Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Operational Resilience or Operational Risk (financial services experience ideal).
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise in a fast paced environment.
- Confident communicator, able to produce clear documentation and presentations.
- Comfortable working independently, taking initiative and using sound judgment.
- Strong relationship building skills and a collaborative approach.
- Good problem solving ability with a proactive, can do attitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and confident using Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
- Awareness of regulatory expectations and continuous improvement mentality.
