Mission
As a Senior Manager in the Insurance Practice, you will lead critical transformation initiatives across life, health, and general insurance sectors. Your mission is to help clients rethink their operating models, elevate customer and distributor experiences, and realize strategic value through process redesign and digital enablement. This role combines leadership, deep industry expertise, and a strong execution mindset to deliver tangible impact within complex organizational environments.
Responsibilities
Transformation Strategy & Operating Model Design
- Define and lead transformation strategies across key insurance functions such as policy administration, underwriting, claims, product, and distribution.
- Develop future-state operating models that integrate business strategy, process excellence, and enabling technology.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams through the design and implementation of transformation roadmaps, ensuring alignment with client objectives and measurable outcomes.
- Identify structural improvement opportunities and lead their implementation across functions, geographies, or business units.
Program Delivery & Client Management
- Drive the end-to-end execution of client engagements, ensuring quality delivery within defined scope, timelines, and budget.
- Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, facilitating decision-making and providing clear, data-backed recommendations.
- Oversee governance structures, risk management, and change control mechanisms throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure alignment between business transformation goals and IT/digital initiatives in collaboration with technical stakeholders.
Team Leadership & Knowledge Development
- Lead, coach, and mentor consultants and managers, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes growth, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Contribute to the internal development of methods, frameworks, and service offerings specific to the insurance sector.
- Promote a culture of rigor, curiosity, and client impact within the practice.
Business Development & Market Engagement
- Support go-to-market initiatives by identifying client needs and co-creating high-value proposals and solutions.
- Develop and nurture long-term client relationships through consistent delivery and insight generation.
- Represent the firm at industry events and contribute to thought leadership through articles, roundtables, and sector analyses.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in insurance consulting or transformation roles within insurance companies.
- At least 5 years of experience leading complex projects or programs across multiple insurance lines (life, health, general, or specialty).
- Strong knowledge of insurance operating models, regulatory frameworks, and core processes (e.g., claims, underwriting, policy lifecycle, product).
- Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders and translate strategic priorities into executable transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Availability for project-based travel when required.
