Senior Management Accountant

Management Accountant - 9 Month FTCSalary: £47,000 - £50,000Start: ASAP

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join a leading university on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders and driving strong financial planning and reporting.

We welcome applications from candidates who are qualified by experience, part-qualified, or fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).

• Preparation of monthly management accounts with clear analysis and commentary

• Budgeting and forecasting, supporting financial planning cycles

• Producing accurate financial reports for senior stakeholders

• Variance analysis and performance tracking

• Partnering with clients and budget holders to support decision-making

• Improving financial processes and reporting where possible

• Strong Excel skills (essential)

• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting

• Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills

• Proactive, organised, and able to work to tight deadlines

• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment

• Higher Education experience (desired)
