Senior Legal Counsel (£550-£650 per day)

My client is a highly confidential organisation, handling sensitive, high-impact matters across multiple sectors. Their legal team provides pragmatic, commercially focused advice at a senior level, and they're seeking an experienced lawyer for an exciting interim project. With the business relocating to the Midlands, this role offers the chance to help set up their new operation and make an immediate impact.

What you'll be doing:

• Advising on a broad range of complex and sensitive commercial, corporate, and operational matters.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high-value contracts and agreements.
• Supporting confidential strategic projects and transformation initiatives across multiple sectors.
• Providing guidance on regulatory, compliance, and governance matters.
• Working closely with senior stakeholders, giving practical and commercially focused advice.
• Managing high-risk and confidential matters from start to finish.
• Supporting junior lawyers and legal colleagues where needed.
• Helping establish internal processes, templates, and best practice as part of the Midlands relocation.

What we're looking for:

• A qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or equivalent, with at least 6 years' PQE in an in house environment.
• Broad legal experience across commercial, corporate, regulatory, and operational matters.
• Experience handling sensitive and high risk matters with discretion.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercially minded, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently.
• A proactive and adaptable approach, comfortable operating at senior level.
