Our legal team is growing and looking to bring on someone who thrives in an in-house environment who can work closely with our business leaders on their legal priorities. The role will be reporting into the General Counsel & Company Secretary, working closely with the Leadership Team and Senior Leadership teams across Uniphar Group. Responsibilities Lead and oversee complex legal projects from initiation to completion while engaging cross-functional stakeholders to secure input, alignment, and timely execution. Provide strategic legal advice and lead negotiations on a broad range of high-value commercial contracts, supporting business growth and ensuring legal compliance. Drive the creation, rollout, and continuous improvement of legal contracts and frameworks partnering with cross-functional leaders as required Identify inefficiencies in day-to-day operations and implement scalable, streamlined solutions to enhance effectiveness Play a key leadership role in corporate transactions (M&A and strategic investments) by managing legal due diligence, transaction documentation, cross-border legal coordination, and integration planning in partnership with external advisors and internal teams Advise executive and senior business leaders on a wide spectrum of legal, compliance, and corporate matters, including regulatory issues, dispute resolution, and reputational risk, enabling well-informed, risk-adjusted decision-making. Assist in the roll-out of a Group-wide contract management system to streamline the contracting process across the Group. (this needs to be from a broader technology perspective - there may be others that they need t be part of - not just the contract management system) Manage and prioritize workload in relation to timelines and stakeholder requirements. Engaging and liaising with external counsel (managing and minimizing costs to the extent possible). Foster a culture of legal excellence and continuous improvement, mentoring junior team members and contributing to knowledge-sharing and capability development across the function. Undertake additional responsibilities and special projects as required, supporting the legal function's contribution to overall corporate governance and operational resilience Skills and Competencies Qualified solicitor with 5+ years PQE in private practice or in-house Experience negotiating commercial contracts Commercial and solutions focused Good project management skills Good interpersonal and managerial skills Ability to thrive in a high-paced work environment Professional maturity to take ownership of various assignments with limited supervision Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of matters Good attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work well in a team environment Uniphar Background Uniphar Group is a rapidly expanding diversified healthcare services business with a global footprint and a proud heritage in Ireland.
