Senior Legal Counsel - Risk & Compliance

What you'll do- Partner with the Compliance Officer to drive and continuously monitor and enhance our overarching Compliance Management System, acting as a key point of contact for Compliance Responsibles across business departments.
- Take ownership of core compliance programmes within the Legal & Compliance Department, including Anti-Corruption/Anti-Fraud, Antitrust, Business Partner Compliance, Grocery Regulations (UTP Regulation).
- Develop, champion and deliver business-wide compliance training, provide expert guidance on complex compliance matters, and lead or contribute to investigation of potential compliance breaches.
- Lead and moderate regular risk workshops with business departments, critically assessing operational risks and advising on the development of robust risk-mitigating measures.
- Oversee and manage the operational risk management processes (2nd Line of Defence), monitor the implementation of agreed measures and conduct the risk reporting to the Board of Directors.
- Provide comprehensive advice to business departments on the areas Antitrust, Anti-Bribery, Supply Chain/Business Partner Compliance, and UTP regulation).
- Monitor, analyse and interpret emerging EU and local legislation, actively guiding business units on the operational implementation of these legal requirements.
- Collaborate with the wider Legal & Compliance team by taking ownership of defined, project-based commercial initiatives, or providing surge capacity when team demands are high.
- Qualified solicitor or barrister in Ireland
- 3-5 years PQE in a legal role (in-house commercial experience preferential)
- Experience also in the Northern Ireland would be advantageous
- German is an advantage, but not a necessity
- €85,000 rising to €111,000 after 4 years
